Be aware of the recycle symbol - not every plastic can be recycled!
The sun is shining today in London and reflects from the pavement, to be honest, the heat never feels this good after those cold gloomy days 😊 makes me think of that windy day when our group went out picking trash in the dirty residential street of East London.
Mockingly, just 2 days later I got lectured by my flatmate for not recycling correctly. Well, you work for a litter-picking project but you don’t know how to recycle your trash, isn’t it embarrassing?
So turns out, in my mind, everything made of plastic can be recycled, which is 100% wrong! Next time you recycle, I suggest that you take longer than 10 seconds to read the package, look for the recycle symbol and you will be amazed by how many “recycle the tray, not the film” you will find!
I hope with this tip, you can live in harmony with your flatmate haha.

Also by the way, since this post is too short, I decided this is a good time to start my writing/ learning journey more seriously and find passion within discipline and challenge. So I hereby start the challenge “200 topics to elevate your writing skills!”
P/s: I love the word elevate because it is a cool app that I have followed, I recommended it to people searching for a brain training app.
Day 1: Give up when facing obstacles is too easy!
The toughest war is to fight your own self.
As part of the topic, they said: “Sometimes the thought that I can not do it is the obstacle, not how the difficulty of your situation is”.
Give up is truly easy, I agree. I found myself doing it unconsciously in some cases. Think of life as a marathon, some give up at 5 miles, some at nearly the end of the route. I did once give up far far away from the start line as the idea of joining a marathon is striking fearsome and not suitable for a not-a-sportperson like me. People advise you to believe in what you have, but if you believe you don’t have anything, you have nothing to lean on. That’s when the unconsciousness of turning down every idea about who you can be comes to life. And I believe inner strength is something you can nurture through self-love and the support of people surrounding you.
Fight back is how you find that inner strength and remove the fixed image of You. There are many methods of fighting back, discipline and a set of rules, and steps to follow; or you can pamper yourself in the darkest time. There is no best method, it lies in being a good friend to yourself and understanding who you are.
But sometimes life is too hard, so I beg you to surround yourself with people who will shower you with love, and support because I often find myself beating myself down into a slump on the ground. You will be the first person to doubt, to hate, to lecture yourself. You don’t need another one to hurt you more than you can do. They will be the carer, and after that a counsellor.
The heavy rain may drown you, but you should know when to find shelter. In a long-distance marathon, you may overcome a storm, you try to fight back and continue your journey but the rain starts cutting your face, the wind is pushing you down. That is the time for you to find shelter and give yourself some rest, it does not mean giving up, but knowing when to stop. That difficulty is the same, throwing yourself in the fire doesn’t show your resilience, lets take a deep breath, rest, and wait for the rain to lessen. I hope we all find our inner strength, supporters and know how to run a shelter when the time comes.
Thank you for reading.
